Addax
Critically endangered in the wild. Magnificent spiral horns.
About the Addax
The addax is among the most endangered large mammals on earth — fewer than a hundred are thought to remain in the wild Sahara. In Texas, managed herds have become a genuine ark for the species, and 3-S runs one of them. Under the federal ‘Three Amigos’ exemption, U.S. captive-bred addax can be hunted without an individual federal permit — the law itself recognizes that Texas breeders are why the species survives.
A mature addax is unmistakable: a pale, near-white desert coat, a dark facial mask, and long, gracefully spiraled horns. It is one of the most striking trophies a hunter can take.
Hunting the addax at 3-S is a direct contribution to a working conservation model. Your hunt funds the herd that perpetuates the species — the clearest example of conservation through sustainable use we offer.
