Fallow Deer
Palmated antlers and three color phases — a classic exotic.
About the Fallow Deer
Fallow deer are one of the oldest established exotics in Texas, and for good reason. Mature bucks carry broad, palmated antlers reminiscent of a moose in miniature, and the species comes in striking color phases from white to chocolate.
The fallow rut in October brings the bucks together in groaning, antler-clashing groups — one of the most dramatic spectacles on the ranch.
Managed under our specialty program, our fallow herd produces consistently heavy, well-palmated bucks. A superb trophy and excellent eating.
