Eland
The largest antelope on earth — a heavy-bodied bull that rivals a mature bison.
About the Eland
The eland is the largest antelope species on the planet. A mature bull stands six feet at the shoulder, carries spiraled horns, and can weigh 2,000 pounds — rivaling a bison in body size with a frame that is unmistakably antelope.
Eland are one of the most prized African plains-game trophies, and they walk the East Texas pines and senderos of 3-S Ranch. The hunt is spot-and-stalk, and a heavy rifle is the right tool.
Eland venison is widely considered some of the finest table meat of any antelope species — lean, dark, and richly flavored.
