Texas Exotic
Gemsbok
The black-and-white desert oryx with rapier horns.
About the Gemsbok
The gemsbok is the oryx of the Kalahari — a powerfully built antelope with bold black-and-white facial markings and long, straight, rapier-like horns carried by both bulls and cows.
Hardy and beautiful, gemsbok thrive in the open country of the ranch and present a spot-and-stalk hunt across grassland. The horns make for one of the most dramatic European-mount or full-body trophies available.
A mature gemsbok with 36-inch horns is a centerpiece trophy and a hunt that rivals anything offered in the Hill Country.
