About the Red Stag
The red stag is the king of our antlered exotics — a massive, regal deer related to the North American elk, carrying crowned antlers that can run to fourteen points or more on a mature animal, with SCI scores ranging from 300 to 650 and beyond.
The 'roar' — the red stag rut in September and October — is one of the great experiences in hunting. Stags bellow across the ranch at dawn and dusk, and a hunt timed to the roar is unforgettable.
Our red stag, sika, and fallow are overseen by a dedicated specialty manager, which means consistent genetics and mature, representative bulls. This is the trophy that puts a hunt on the wall and a story in the lodge.
